What is a periodontist?
A periodontist is a dental specialist who has received additional education and experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of conditions affecting the soft tissue of the gums, the bone beneath the gums, and the connective tissue that holds it all together.
After completing dental school, a periodontist completes another two to three years plus a residency. Our doctors, Dr. Leslie Batnick, Dr. Lois Levine, and Dr. Joo Kim, have each taken the additional step of becoming board certified Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology. This means that in addition to their additional schooling and training, they have passed rigorous examinations and committed to ongoing education and training to maintain this status.
Whether you have found us on your own or your regular dentist has referred you to our care, we are dedicated to providing the advanced care you need to treat your periodontal condition.
